Azza's Weekend Wager, Powered by Megapot

Another Megapot integration is going live.

Azza lets users send, receive and spend money across borders instantly on WhatsApp, using crypto or local currency. With Weekend Wager, eligible activity can now earn entries into Megapot prizes, without users ever leaving WhatsApp.

This is also one of the first integrations powered by Megapot Gold, a new ticket format built for partners that want to use Megapot prizes as an incentive at scale.

How it works

Eligible transactions earn Weekend Wager entries, with ticket numbers and results surfaced directly inside WhatsApp.

To qualify, transactions must be over $1. All transactions are eligible except bill payments, with a maximum of five tickets per person.

For Azza, Weekend Wager adds another layer of value to everyday transactions, giving users a shot at up to $200K as they use the platform.

Why Megapot Gold

Our regular $1 tickets work well when the ticket itself is the product. But for apps that want to use Megapot as an incentive, particularly across emerging markets and high-frequency use cases, $1 per action can quickly become too expensive to distribute at scale.

That's why we built Gold.

Megapot Gold is a 10 cent ticket built specifically for Megapot partners. Unlike regular Megapot tickets, Gold cannot be purchased directly by users and exists offchain. Partners distribute Gold tickets as rewards for actions they want to incentivize.

The lower price point makes it possible for partners to reward higher-frequency actions like trading, sending and referring at scale, while still giving their users a shot at the $200K jackpot. For partners, this creates a new way to use Megapot's prize pool as an incentive layer across their product. Instead of funding large rewards programs themselves, they can attach a shot at a headline prize to the actions that matter to their business.

Azza's Weekend Wager is an early example of that model, using Megapot to incentivize more activity directly inside an existing product experience.
