Bigger Wins, Better Odds, and a New Backer Bonus

Megapot has been live for three months now. After watching the gameplay in the wild and talking with our players and backers, we've spotted a handful of upgrades that we think will improve the overall experience. The goals are simple: make the jackpot more attainable, increase payouts on the prizes players win most often, and align our backers more closely with the long-term success of the protocol. Starting June 25, we're making the following changes.

For Players

You'll win more, and win more often.

• The jackpot just got more attainable. Your odds of hitting the jackpot just went up 20%, putting that life-changing $200,000 prize within closer reach every drawing.
• Bigger payouts on the prizes you win most.We're boosting payouts on the most common prize tiers by up to 50%, so your everyday wins hit harder.

Taken together, more of every dollar you play comes back to you, and meaningful wins happen more often, all while the top prize stays as big as ever.

For Backers

We're rewarding the backers who stand behind the pool for the long run.

• Up to $54,000 in bonuses. Our new Summer Backer Bonus tops up returns toward a target of ~20–25% APY over 90 days. Hold your position from June 25 through September 23 and you're automatically eligible.
• 50% more points.We're boosting backer points by 1.5×.
• Edge moves from 20% to 12.5%. A deliberate trade: bigger player payouts drive more ticket sales, and we expect that added volume to make up the difference.

Many backers told us they're here for the long-term vision of the protocol, not the edge on any single drawing. These changes are built for exactly that.

For Referrers

Referrers will earn more!

Our referrers are some of Megapot's most loyal supporters. Nothing about how referrals work is changing. But as players win more and play more, we expect referrers to earn 25–30% more for every dollar they refer.
